I can't wait. Conference should be amazing, even if I have to miss most of Saturday's sessions due to a work meeting. Grr. I love hearing the words of the prophet, his counselors, the apostles, etc. It always calms me down and motivates me to be a better person. I can't wait to hear what they have to say. Maybe they'll talk more about missionary work so I can be even more excited.
By the time conference starts, I'll have less than a month before I hop on the plane to go down to Utah! I will fly out in the wee hours of the morning on May 2nd and arrive in Salt Lake at approximately 10:30 am. I'll spend some time with Uncle Dave and his family on that day. The next afternoon, I'll go over to Matt and Tiffani's house, and they'll take me to the MTC on the 4th. Sometime in there, I'll hopefully get to see lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandma's. They are planning a family dinner sometime during those couple days. It'll be fun to see everyone before I begin my grand adventure at the MTC. It'll be fun and exciting. Soon I'll really be Hermana Lathrop and get to meet the lovely people of Las Vegas!

I love to see the temple
It was amazing. So many blessings! A lot of things I had read about in the scriptures suddenly made sense, as did the Plan of Salvation. Every time I went back, I was able to understand even more. I hope to be able to go to the temple more often. I'm so excited for my mission! Aaaah! Only 44 days : )

Day 30: Un momento final
Spanish is a fun language to learn. When I read Spanish, I can generally understand the basic message. I'm working on vocabulary and basic phrases to say. Something that really gets me is verb conjugations. It' s hard to remember how to change for past, present, future, etc. I just got a book with many verbs already conjugated so I can study and learn the patterns. Everything is just about practice, practice, practice. I'm trying to get a basic understanding before I go to the MTC so I can be better able to learn the language and focus more on how to teach in Spanish. It'll surely be interesting....
