The Birthday Week

It is hilarious how small of a world we live in. On Wednesday (January 28th) my sister, Cassidee, turned 12. My roommate's sister also turned 12. And another roommate had her birthday, turning 19. Needless to say, there was a lot of celebration happening in our room all day long.

new hair

Yeps, I has bangs now.

Elder Christofferson is coming!!!

For devotional at BYU-Idaho, we always have really cool speakers, ranging from faculty members to General Authorities. This coming week, Elder D. Todd Christofferson from the Quorom of the Twelve is going to be giving the devotional. I'm really stoked for this because I got tickets to be in the Hart Auditorium, so I'll be in the same room as an apostle and get to hear him speak live. The last time I got to hear an apostle speak and be in the same room was probably when my mom and I went down to General Conference when I was in eighth grade. YAY!!!!! This will be way cool!

Welcome!

Hey y'all, I'm this crazy girl from Alaska (North Pole! I get to see Santa all the time!) Earlier this month, I left the frozen north for the land of potatoes and the campus on the hill: Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg. It was so nice to actually have weather above zero and be able to see the sun. I must have looked like such a freaky tourist when I first got here, wide-eyed and grinning.

Anywho, I'll write more about that in another post. I am studying communications, and my extracurricular activities include eating, sleeping, playing cards with my roommates, oh, and DANCING! I am attempting to learn ballroom and country dance. It's hard, but oh so fun. Soon I'll be sweeping all the boys away hehe.

So yeah, that's a teensy bit about me, the crazy Alaska girl that was plucked out of her igloo and put into potato land. I went from one hick town to another. Aint life just great?
