Sunshine and Summertime

2010 has been an interesting year so far, full of ups and downs, twists and turns, mistakes and lessons. There have been happy days and heartbreaks, sadness and smiles, hope and hardship. Even in the month of January alone, I have learned a lot about trusting in Jesus Christ. I know that He knows exactly what I am going through, and that He loves me enough to help me through. He is my rock and salvation, the only sure way to get through the trials that I am facing. He is like the sunshine and warmth that comes after a long cold spell like the ones we get up in Fairbanks. The sunshine warms me and reminds that summer will come if I can but endure the rest of the cold, dark winter. Long, bright, warm summer days lie ahead. Christ warms my soul when I feel cold and dark and alone. He lifts me up when I am down. I know that I am not alone and that everything will be alright because I trust in Christ.

  2. Aww. Tabitha that was fantastic! And you know what's cool, is that "Summer" ALWAYS comes after the cold season. Some places have a short winter (like Florida! haha) And some people have a long winter, like Idaho. And Alaska has an almost unbearable winter. But you know what I think... the longer you have to wait for it, the more you appreciate the summer! :)
